This special place is really something unique. A small Castle in the middle of the village Magliano, Fermo. The Castle is one of only two in the Marche Region to have been recognized by the Istituto Italiano Castelli for the faithful restoration, undertaken by the current owner between 1998-2000, goes some way to explaining the world class job that was done.
The castle has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, a reception room, office, kitchen, dining room, cellar, terrace and balcony.
Location: 15 km from the city Fermo (the provincial capital), 25 km from the coast, 1 hr from the airport of Ancona and 1 hr to the mountains.
Price including interior: 1.125.000 euro
I arrange viewings during March, April and May. Contact me for more information!
At the top of the tower there is a terrace with breathtaking views from the Sibillini Mountains in the West to the Adriatic sea in the East.
It lies in the middle of the village and is partly connected to other houses. Across the piazza, 100 meters from the side entrance, lies an elegant "Osteria" with excellent food, wines and service. In the village you will find three good restaurants, cafés and other services.
The Castle dates to the first half of the 11th Century, but since then it has passed through the hands of a series of noteworthy owners such as Frederich II, who gave the Castle to the city of Fermo in 1229, the Malatesta family, which conquered the Castle in 1413 and Francesco Sforza for a brief period from 1446.
